Surah Yasin

Surah Yasin, arguably the most splendid and significant chapter of the Quran, is considered very highly. It is celebrated as the “Heart of the Quran” throughout the Islamic world. Many devout Muslims read Surah Yasin, the 36th Surah, daily because of the numerous rewards and benefits associated with doing so. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said that whosoever recites Surah Yasin even once will be forgiven by Allah and rewarded ten times over in heaven. Surah Yasin is also associated with some rituals such as Khatam-i-Yasin where the Surah is recited many times over in order to derive some benefit or solve many kinds of problems. Some Islamic scholars however do not think these rituals should be followed as they are unislamic.
